This was my second visit this year and sometimes things dont happen as nice as your last visit to a hotel BUT not here it is a fantastic place to come and unwind. I came for 5 nights this time and the weather was very nice not that the weather stops you enjoying your stay. The food is so nice breakfast to die for and a smashing choice of evening meals all served by lovely staff nothing is too much for them to help you enjoy your stay at the Manor. I have been coming here for the last 11 years around 5 times a year so I think that speaks for itself. If I had one thing to moan about it would be all the shopping trips this week seems a shame when there was so many dogs there that we didnt get a run for the dogs some of the other residents agreed with that.

Fabulous hotel in lovely setting, having just returned from a fantastic 2 night break, providing a testimonial is the least I can do. The hotel staff are second to none, Ben is a real asset to the hotel and makes everyone feel very welcome. The room was huge, even with an additional bed for my son, plenty of toiletries and towels were provided in the neat and very clean bathroom. The leisure facilities are good and kept my 11 yr old very happy. Breakfast is excellent, compliments to the chef on his porridge! Dinner too catered for every taste and was well presented and very tasty. Even our little dog enjoyed his first hotel stay and being able to use the facilities provided, dog runs and hot towels by the front door to dry off a soggy mutt after a walk were very much appreciated. We will be back and will recommend to all our friends and family. Ms Karen Templeton

Just came back from an impromptu visit and we were very happy with the room which was large,clean,warm en-suite with great views and a balcony overlooking the lake and gardens .The hotel itself was a beautiful old building which made you feel welcome as you came up the drive . Staff were more than helpful and friendly and even though they catered for the blind this did not detract from the great atmosphere with everyone being friendly including the dogs !!! Oh yeah and morris on piano.
Lastly thanks to ben for his tireless efforts to making sure everyone was happy in his bar.

This hotel is a well run, friendly establishment, room was a decent size with a cracking view over lake Windermere, price was better than many in the area. Stay was enjoyable, wish it was longer. Mr Trevor Gillingham

  • Tell us More: When we arrived the pool attendant was not there then the pool was full of kids having a swimming lesson . No gas in kitchen at breakfast and I had to ask at reception for more staff to serve busy dining room .

  • Tell us More: We had a good stay and will return. One downfall was the pool opening hours opening after most people have left for the days outings and closing before you return.

  • Tell us More: This was my first visit this year and once again I was greeted with nice staff they are so helpfull nothing is too much for them they never seem phased with some of the guests little problems they will sort it out for them. And the food is so nice and plenty of it as well I sometimes cannot eat all of it (but I try hard to do) Its just a wonderfull place to stay and relax or do your own thing I have now been coming here for 12 years around 5 times a year. Well done to all of the staff they make a holiday great.

  • Tell us More: We only had two nights at the hotel but everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our double room was lovely with a massive bed! The pool was great and Ben was a star in the bar! All of the staff were lovely but you can't really miss Ben! He's a real asset to the place.

  • Tell us More: This was my third time here this year and once again I had a lovely time unwinding from work enjoying the wonderfull food and meeting old mates and new people. The staff are so nice nothing is too much for them they really make your stay a happy one. Sheri does a good job with the trips sorting out guides and not just shopping trips but runs for the dogs well done. This time I stayed in the new rooms down in the old cottage and they are so nice its worth the little walk to the hotel for your food. Enjoyed it that much that I have booked my next holiday in March in the new rooms. Well done to all the staff for making the Manor a great place to visit.

  • Tell us More: We have a dog and find it very difficult to get away as most places are not dog friendly. This was our first time at Windermere Manor Hotel and I have to say it is the most relaxing break I have had, We met some fantastic people including Ben who really made us feel part of the furniture. The food was fantastic with a great menu at both breakfast and tea. We will definitely be going back in the spring. Thank you to everyone for making this a wonderful break.

  • Tell us More: Impromptu stay we booked reservation last min and were satisfied with all aspects of the service and facilities the hotel had to offer. Warm welcome, lovely suite with great views that offered access to a balcony. Good service, thankyou again Lucas. Fabulous food, having chosen the table de hote menu it exceeded my expectations compliments to the chef. Overall, excellent value,we will be making a return trip.

  • Tell us More: We love coming up to the Manor and have been doing so for many years. The food is amazing! The staff are friendly and inviting. Its like coming home to family! Nothing is to much trouble! The staff work hard and it shows! Rooms are spotless and there is always plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits when you return from your walks. The scenery in the Lakes in Oct/Nov is breathtaking. I love it when you come up the drive to the Manor and all the ivy has turned red! Many great holidays and hopefully many more!

  • Tell us More: Once again I returned to the hotel and was met with happy staff they are very helpfull in making a stay pleasant and relaxed my 4th time this year. Its so nice to do your own thing during the day even the hotel trips have now improved. The choice of food on a night is very good something even for the veggies. Both me and my guide dog Glen sulks when its time to go back to home and work. A very nice hotel grounds tactile and very dog friendly.

  • Tell us More: I go to the hotel around 5 times a year and its a wonderfull place to go and do your own thing or just relax and charge yourself up from work the food is second to none and the staff are very nice they make you feel so welcome. Just like a home from home they should be proud of themself for creating such a nice relaxing place

  • Tell us More: On first booking I emailed the hotel with a couple of questions and received a prompt and friendly reply. This level of service continued throughout our stay. My sister and I had single rooms which were large and well appointed. Mine came complete with bath and shower. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities are excellent, even had drinking chocolate in the rooms! The breakfast menu is excellent with a wide variety of choices and it is not self service. Although we did not get a chance to have an evening meal there the menu looked good. The hotel is geared to the blind and partially sighted so if you do not like dogs this is not the place for you. On the other hand the guide dogs were very well behaved and their owners a pleasure to talk to. The grounds are well laid out both for man and dog. A real pleasure staying there.
